BE LIGHT-BEARERS

 John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

If we are truly In Christ, then we are bearers of His light for He is the light of the world. Everywhere we go, we carry the light that is in us and that light is Jesus. Whether we perceive it or not, we do carry a light in us that can be seen in the spirit realm. The forces of darkness can see us because of the light that emanates from within us.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Spiritually, we are like beacons of light. I have had both saved and unsaved people tell me they saw a light on me they did not see on others and that was why they were drawn to me.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Thus, evil forces can see us oftentimes before we see them. They are drawn to us and they watch us closely looking for any holes in our armor they can penetrate and exploit. If we are walking in compromise in any area of our lives, we give them access to torment us in that very area.

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

We must be sold out to Jesus, and be completely devoted to Him! We must be all in and ride for the brand! Where we compromise with sin and where we have suffered trauma are major access points for demonic infestation. Compulsiveness, depression, despair, fear, gloom, hopelessness, rejection and self-pity all work against us and if persistent are usually evidence of a bigger spiritual problem that may require deliverance.

1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

You see, we are described as living lively stones and as holy priests of which the spiritual house of God is built; who, for their clear light, and burning zeal and love, may be said to be as stones of fire. We are stones of fire if we are walking wholly devoted and sold out to Jesus! Satan himself walked among the stones of fire:

Ezekiel 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Please understand that satan misses being able to walk up and down in the midst of the stones of fire and he is still drawn to us. He can see our spiritual condition and it infuriates him because we are walking with God as he used to and we are becoming part of the foundation of the very city of God – the new Jerusalem!

Revelation 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones.

Father, please help us to continue to walk in Your light and in Your way, full of Your Holy Spirit as sons and daughters of God should walk. Help us to be light in the darkest places and help us to illuminate others so they may see Jesus more clearly and distinctly. Help us to be the stones of fire and the foundation stones of your city. Please help us to reach out to the lost and the bound and offer them new hope in Jesus. Help us to set our faces like flint and hold dead on, straight on for You and Jesus and never be turned aside for anything of this world or the enemy. In the most holy name of all, Jesus the Christ we pray – amen.
